When you visit a restaurant, the first thing you look at is the menu, and mostly, it is printed, right? But La Lanterna, a restaurant in Bellagio, Italy, is making waves on social media for its hand-drawn menu, which looks like a work of art. The unique drawings and little details on the menu are quite a sight to see!

A printed menu with bold or italic words, or a QR code that takes us to a digital menu on our smartphones, is a common sight at restaurants. But tucked away on a street in Bellagio, Italy, is a restaurant that has been around since 1982 and still does things the vintage way. Instead of the usual printed menus, La Lanterna has a menu with colourful drawings depicting the food items. In an Instagram video shared by @olesia.punda, the menu caught everyone’s attention for its beautiful illustrations and little details. And people are actually loving it!

It is basically a small folder, and when you open it, you see colourful drawings of hand-rolled pasta, lasagne, moka pot coffee, limoncello shots and other items, with their prices written alongside. In a world that is obsessed with everything minimalist and clean, this restaurant in Italy is winning hearts with its artistic hand-drawn menu. Kudos to the artist behind these drawings, who has made all the items look so appealing!
