A Dussehra fair in Bihar’s Saran district took a chaotic turn on Saturday after an elephant lost control. Several videos of the entire incident were recorded and uploaded on social media. In the videos, you can see the uncontrolled elephant throwing cars with its trunk and damaging several vehicles like buses in its rampage.
The animal could be seen ramming into several cars and damaging them while people tried to get away from it. The videos also showed how the furious elephant was carrying three people on its back, all visibly shaken and scared. As per an India Today report, a person was also injured in this entire ordeal.

As per reports, the police were informed about the incident and a team was immediately dispatched to the scene. However, they were unable to control the elephant. Finally, a mahout was called in to pacify the uncontrollable elephant. As per the India Today report, the mahout, along with a team of Forest Department officials, brought the enraged animal under control and guided it to a secluded garden in Saran. The elephant was then tied to a tree and calmed down.
As of now, the cause of the elephant’s sudden aggression during the Dussehra fair in Bihar is still unknown.
This incident is deeply concerning. It also brings to light how animals are still being used, abused, and harmed for human entertainment during festivals and celebrations. The wild animals are not meant to settle among humans. They need to be in their natural habitat to live normally. If they are taken away from forests and forced into human settlements, then chaos like Bihar’s Saran district is just what one can expect!
