Bollywood’s Javed Akhtar And Shabana Azmi Receive UAE Golden Visa

The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship recently granted the coveted UAE golden visa to renowned Bollywood writer Shabana Azmi and her husband, actor Javed Akhtar. His work in Hindi film has made him a well-known lyricist, scriptwriter, and political activist. Moreover, he has won five National Film Awards and two of India’s highest civilian honours, the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan. 

 Bollywood’s Couple Receives Highest Visa Honour 

According to the gulf news, in a joint statement, the couple expressed their gratitude to the authorities for awarding them the ‘UAE golden visa.’ One of India’s best-known lyricists and screenwriters, Akhtar has won five National Film Awards. Additionally, one of the country’s highest civilian honours, as well as the prestigious Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awards. After working with Salim Khan, Akhtar became well-known as a screenwriter for films like ‘Sholay‘ and ‘Deewar’.

Azmi is one of India’s most diverse actors, having appeared in more than 100 films throughout the course of her four-decade career.

Not only Azmi and Akhtar have received the UAE’s highest visa honour: the golden visa.

Bhagyashree recently travelled to Dubai to get a 10-year visa from the UAE. The UAE has issued golden visas to several Bollywood and South Indian stars this year, including Mammootty and Sanjay Dutt.
