A celebration of India’s diverse artistic expressions and heritage, the KGAF will happen from January 20th to January 28th in Mumbai. As part of this fest, the Kala Ghoda Association (KGA) sought permission from the Bombay High Court to hold certain performances in Churchgate’ Cross Maidan. On Tuesday, the court granted KGA permission to host some visual arts events and performances at Cross Maidan. The court has also mentioned that this order will not hold true for other entities who wish to host events at the venue.

There are, however, certain restrictions to be kept in place by the court. They have prohibited any commercial or food stall at Cross Maidan. And have further instructed to keep the events open to the public – without any entry fee.
