“Fashion to me is not only an aesthetic choice and a free license to snobbery. For me it is not to be caged in the grids of Instagram. It is a language. Fashion is a roaring language of protest – of revolution.”, says the bong munda a.k.a Pushpak Sen, hailing from Kolkata. Fearless and flamboyant, 26-year-old Pushpak is on a mission to travel the iconic places in the world donning traditional handloom sarees of India. By taking up this bold step, Pushpak is not only pushing fashion off its stereotypical limits but is also upholding the Indian culture on a global platform. Recently, he was strolling through the streets of Milan, Italy donning a saree and a bindi. Pushpak’s grace in the classy ensembles has earned laurels from all across the globe.

Pushpak Rocked The Streets Of Milan And Barcelona In Saree; Internet Is Awestruck
Sharing a post from Milan, Pushpak wrote, “Being a man in a saree would take me nowhere they said.
Guess who’s walking in it on the streets of one of the major fashion capitals of the world?”. Prior to Milan, Pushpak had been to Italy’s Polimoda and also Spain’s Barcelona. In one of the posts, Pushpak has stated that wearing sarees makes him feel closer to his mother.
Expressing his pride in the Indian culture, Pushpak wrote on Instagram, “Representing my pride handloomed in my culture long after the pride month got over, cause that’s how it’s supposed to be. Every time I reply to messages in Bengali, the other person expressed their amazement at how well I remember the language.
My reason to come here where I am was not to blend in but to REPRESENT my roots, my clan, my community.”
Pushpak Had A Tight-Lipped Reply To Relatives Who Had Slut-Shamed His Mother
Time and again, Pushpak’s writings have revealed his fondness for his mother. On her birthday, Pushpak thanked her stating that he has grown up to be ‘beautiful’ because of her. Earlier, he had put on a bright red lipstick to give a tight-lipped reply to his relatives who had slut-shamed his mother. Posing with the red lipstick, Pushpak had written, “My mother, a woman of 54 years, got slut-shamed, by some of our nearest relatives, for wearing a red lipstick at a family get-together. So today, I sent all of them this picture with a ‘Good morning. Get well soon.’ message. What baffled me the most is that some of these relatives have children, who are super ‘woke’ on social media and were present when this ‘gossip’ was happening but didn’t say a word.”
“Here I am, a man with a full face of beard and a red lipstick. Here I am, standing up for all the mothers, sisters, daughters, non males and all the womxn who have had to suppress their desires because of the toxicity of an insecure society. Here I am, standing up for all of them and asking my fellow brothers to stand up for the womxn you know, in your own way, when you see your loved ones getting bullied.”
With a game-changing personality and eye-opening farsightedness, Pushpak is leaving us profoundly mesmerised.
