Breathtaking Picture Of Alaknanda And Bhagirathi Confluence Leaves Internet Mesmerised

Almighty has blessed the land of India. Every corner and nook of the country has something wonderful to add to its sheer beauty. The Almighty has truly showered us with his hand-picked blessings in terms of natural beauty, providing us with abundant natural resources. Recently, a mesmerizing picture of two sacred rivers merging has gone viral on social media and captured people’s hearts. It is the picture of a beautiful confluence of two sacred rivers, Alaknanda and Bhagirathi, which takes place at Devprayag, Uttarakhand.

A Gorgeous Confluence

Last month Anand Mahindra shared a stunning image of the Alaknanda River flowing into the Bhagirathi River. The Chairman of Mahindra & Mahindra along with the mesmerizing picture tweeted “’ Alaknanda’ means ‘flawless.’ I can see why…”.

Devprayag is one of the popular confluences known as Panch Prayag where Alaknanda and Bhagirathi meet. Because of the surreal beauty, religious significance, and sacred location, it attracts tourists from all over the world.

Marvellous View Of Alaknanda River

Although, the image was originally shared on a site named Traveling Bharat. They captioned the picture as “Marvellous view of Alaknanda River amidst beautiful mountains just before meeting Bhagirathi River in Devprayag.” After this picture was shared, many other sites shared the same pictures and the netizens are in awe of this beautiful location.

In fact, the official Twitter page of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, an initiative of the Ministry of Culture, also shared the photo. They captioned the post as “Like a river flows…This ‘flawless’ image of the Alaknanda river from the point where it flows into Bhagirathi in Devprayag is giving us major #TravelGoals. How about you??”
