For people who have come back to Delhi from abroad, The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) is going to facilitate cab services from Delhi airport to Noida and Ghaziabad. But the costs of these services will start at a whopping ₹10,000. It’s heavier on the pockets than the domestic flight fares even. Read on to know the details.
What Are The Cab Rates?
The passengers will have to pay ₹10,000 for the first 250 km for a sedan, and if they opt for an SUV, they will need to shell out ₹2000 more. For every extra kilometre, the charges will be ₹40 or ₹50 per kilometre for sedan and SUV respectively. Also, only two people will be allowed inside these taxis along with the driver. Apart from that, there will be air-conditioned buses that will cost ₹1320 for the first 100 kilometres. Rates for non-AC buses will be starting at ₹1000. Each bus will accommodate a maximum of 26 people, in order to maintain social distancing.

What Else?
Travellers will be permitted to avail these transport services only if they do not show any COVID-19 symptoms. Currently, people brought to India from different foreign countries under the Vande Bharat Mission are kept in a 14-day quarantine in the government centres. Once their quarantine period is over, they will be able to reach their homes. UPSRTC has also provided special buses from the Delhi airport to take the passengers to the various quarantine centres and hotels.
Till now, services were arranged by UPSRTC to transport migrant workers to their residences in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. These services were free of cost. The plan of starting the paid cab services from the Indira Gandhi International Airport of Delhi is yet to get approval from the district administration.
