We all like to celebrate festivals by munching on traditional treats with our families. But sometimes, it so happens that there’s a need to travel on the festival day. To ensure you don’t miss out on the occasion of Easter, Emirates is doing something special for its flyers. Celebrating both Orthodox Easter and Catholic Easter in March, it will be serving an early of traditional dishes on select routes.

Traditional Easter Treats On Emirates

From March 29 to 31, Emirates will be offering Easter treats to its customers flying to the destinations of Australia, Canada, the UK, the USA, Europe, the Philippines, Brazil, Mauritius, South Africa, and Ghana. Travellers in the economy class will be able to enjoy Hot Cross Buns with the meal or even a delicious carrot cake with très leches sauce.

While those in the First, Business and Premium Economy will be served Chocolate Cake. Yes, and this will be topped with creamy ganache and redcurrants, or a strawberry cheesecake topped with an elegant mini-Easter egg. As such, kids in all classes will receive Happy Easter biscuits that have been shaped like an Easter egg. Not to mention, those in the A380 onboard lounge will get to relish traditional Easter simnel fruitcake with marzipan.

Coming to the Emirates lounge, from March 29 to April 1, travellers will be able to enjoy classic Easter fare in most of its locations. The First Class Lounges in Dubai will feature tender lamb chops, roasted potatoes and vegetables. While the Business Class Lounge will feature rich lamb stew with potatoes, carrots, and dried fruits. Not to mention, both of these lounges will feature Easter cookies and an array of Easter chocolates from Chocolate Pots to Homemade Milk Chocolate Ice Cream and Chocolate Gateaux.

As such, while flying on Easter dates, passengers will be able to access the classic entertainment library on ICE. New releases will include The Color Purple, Napoleon, The Taste of Things, Freud’s Last Session, The Lesson, and May December. Not to mention, there is also a huge collection of movies for kids, which includes Disney classics. As it happens, for Orthodox Easter celebrations, May 5 to 7, on routes of Russia, Cyprus, and Greece, First and Business Class customers will be treated to traditional herb-crusted lamb for Easter with crispy baby carrots, roasted potatoes, and tzatziki sauce. This will be followed by Easter cake AKA Kulich bread.

With so many exciting offerings available onboard for travellers, it is bound to be a great flying experience for people this Easter with Emirates.
