“Dubai Is A City Of Dreams”: Desi Bling’s Satish & Tabinda Sanpal Share Why They Love The Emirate

Dubai looks glamorous from the outside. Tall buildings, luxury cars, giant malls, endless restaurants. People see the glow first. But while speaking to Curly Tales Editor-In-Chief Kamiya Jani, Desi Bling’s Satish and Tabinda Sanpal spoke less about luxury and more about comfort, safety and the kind of life they feel Dubai gave them.

The couple welcomed Kamiya into their stunning Burj Khalifa home, which already sounds unreal to most people. Not everyone casually says, “Welcome to my home in Burj Khalifa.” But despite the giant views and expensive address, the conversation stayed surprisingly simple.

One thing Kamiya pointed out during the interaction was how people living in the world’s tallest tower often carry equally tall dreams. That line stayed through the episode because Satish’s story especially reflected that idea.

“Dubai Has A Hand In My Success”

When Kamiya asked Satish what he thinks about Dubai as a city, his answer came quickly.

He said anyone who comes to Dubai usually gains something from it because almost everybody here arrives with the intention to work hard and build a better future. For him, Dubai isn’t just another city people move to. He called it a proper “city of dreams”.

Satish openly admitted that whatever success he has today, Dubai played a major role in it. For many Indians living abroad, that feeling probably sounds familiar.

Tabinda Says Safety Is The Biggest Luxury Here

While Satish focused more on ambition and growth, Tabinda looked at Dubai from a completely different angle. Safety was the most important thing to her.

Once she moved to Dubai, she said it was easy to move around without constantly worrying. “In the UK, people can’t roam around freely, carry bags, so life seemed more stressful,” she explained.

In Dubai, though, she said she feels comfortable carrying bags, wearing jewellery, and simply stepping outside without overthinking everything.

But she also mentioned something else that caught my attention.

According to Tabinda, people in Dubai generally seem happier. Whether it’s drivers, staff members or people working everyday jobs, she feels the mood here is lighter compared to the UK where, in her experience, many people appear constantly irritated or stressed.

It was an honest observation. Maybe slightly blunt too. But it showed how deeply lifestyle affects everyday emotions.

Living Inside Burj Khalifa Sounds Wild, Honestly

Kamiya also got a glimpse inside their home life at Burj Khalifa.

The couple admitted there’s only one thing they don’t enjoy about living there: the windows don’t open. Fresh air is basically missing. But over time, they’ve just adjusted to it.

Dubai Mall sits right downstairs, which means quick coffee runs or random shopping trips happen constantly. When Kamiya guessed they probably visit the mall three times a week, they immediately corrected her.

For them, the Dubai Mall has become an extension of their home.

Their Next Home Sounds Even Bigger

The conversation later shifted towards interiors and their upcoming home. Satish revealed that Tabinda handles most of the design decisions, including the interiors of the new property they’re currently building.

While discussing the move, Kamiya joked that after missing fresh air and windows at Burj Khalifa, they were finally heading somewhere with proper balconies and open spaces. Satish then casually revealed the new house would have nearly 60 doors.

The property reportedly spreads across around 50,000 square feet, which honestly sounds more like a luxury resort than a family home.

Kamiya immediately hinted she expects another house tour invitation once it’s ready. As per the conversation, Desi Bling couple Satish and Tabinda genuinely seem grateful for the life they’ve built in Dubai.
