Taking to X, India in Thailand (@IndiainThailand) shared about India and Thailand signing the memorandum of understanding in Bangkok just a couple of days back.

As per the post, this bilateral MoU will be a significant boost in improving and enhancing the “capacities of airlines operating between the two countries”. This also has the goal to strengthen the people to people & economic ties. With this, both Asian countries are ready to grow flight connectivity.

Starting on November 10, 2023, the Thailand government initiated the rule of allowing Indian and Taiwanese travellers to travel to Thailand visa-free. Till May 10, 2024, the visa requirements for tourists from India and Taiwan have been eliminated. This decision indeed turned out to be a massive one for welcoming more visitors. Almost 1,50,000 Indian travellers flew to Thailand in February, according to a report by Hindustan Times. The Tourism Authority of Thailand revealed that the numbers in February 2024 were 120 per cent more in comparison to 2019.
