Flying can be extremely stressful. During this time, if your flight has some unusual occurrence, the fear that generally surrounds flying is heightened even further. In a recent incident that left passengers shaken and scared, an IndiGo flight took off mere seconds after it landed. This sudden and abrupt taking off left a lot of passengers in distress. Since then, the airline has faced considerable backlash from passengers for not being mindful of their passengers.
Chandigarh-Ahmedabad IndiGo Flight Incident
According to an article by Times Now, the incident left a lot of passengers in shock and some were even reduced to tears. The flight took off seconds after touching down. Since the passengers had no idea what was going on and this incident left them confused and scared for their lives.
According to the airline, the flight was redirected and it had to go around owing to an unstable approach. After this sudden take-off, the flight circled around the airport for about 20 minutes more before making a safe landing at the airport.
The incident caused panic among the passengers many of whom even got sick because of it. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation or the DGCA has launched an investigation and is currently inspecting the incident. The airline is cooperating fully with the investigation and has mentioned that the passengers’ safety is its top priority.
Not The First Time That Such An Incident Is Happening
As unusual and shocking as the incident is, this is not the first time that it is happening. A similar incident happened in March when a Vistara flight from Chennai landed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport or the IGIA in Delhi and took off mere seconds after it landed.
This incident, too, left passengers in panic and distress. Some even took to Twitter to share their thoughts and vent their anger on the micro-blogging website. These incidents are a sign that passengers should be prepared for all kinds of situations on flight and should harken to the safety instructions given at the beginning of the flight. Airlines, too, should take accountability for such incidents.
