Passengers fighting on board and getting into arguments with the flight’s crew have become quite common. But on Monday, the situation escalated further when two passengers were offloaded from a SpiceJet flight at Delhi airport. As per a report by Republic World, the incident took place on flight SG 9282, which was scheduled to depart from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) to Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.

As the aircraft began taxiing, a crucial moment before take-off, two female passengers got into a quarrel and attempted to enter the cockpit. This led to panic among other passengers and the cabin crew. They were given repeated warnings and were asked to return to their seats, but both refused to comply. The escalating situation forced the captain to take strict action against them.

Unruly Passengers Handed Over To CISF

The Republic World report also states that the captain prioritised passenger safety and decided to return the aircraft to the bay. This was a necessary step to prevent any further escalation mid-air. The two passengers were immediately offloaded and handed over to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) for further action.

The incident not only triggered panic among passengers but also caused a major delay. The flight, originally scheduled for 12:30 pm, finally departed at 7:21 pm, over 7 hours later, adding to the inconvenience of other travellers. The flight tracking website also confirmed the delay.
