Check Out World’s Smallest Restaurant That Only Serves Two Guests Per Night At ₹44.404 In Rome

Sometimes little things can do great wonders, which is why you should never judge a book by its cover. Well, I am saying this in reference to the world’s smallest restaurant in Rome. Yes, there is a restaurant in Rome that is the smallest in the world and serves only two guests every night. Check out Solo Per Due, which translates to “just for two” in Italian, in the Eternal City.

The surroundings are drenched in a sense of antiquity and romance, even if the building that holds the little dining room dates from the 20th century. The columns and mosaic flooring are proof that it once served as the poet Horace’s country residence.

Jumping through a few hoops to get a table at a world-famous fine dining place that can’t even fit a party of three. Reservations are strictly necessary and must be verified 10 days before the booked meal. They may only be made by phone.

In fact, confirmation is so crucial that visitors are required to contact them 30 minutes prior to their scheduled arrival to let them know they’re coming. Even at a price of €500 (₹44,404) a couple, reservations frequently sell out months in advance because there is only one seating every night.

Guests Can Have A Say On The Menu

Against a cosy backdrop of maximalist splendour, diners indulge in a multi-course Italian meal tailored to their precise preferences, paired with the appropriate wine. One aspect of Solo Per Due’s consideration of each night’s patrons is having a say on the menu.

Each pair of diners gets their name on the heart-shaped cake served for dessert, and everything from the soundtrack of the evening to the flower arrangements is up for discussion.

An aperitivo on a soft crimson sofa by the fireplace helps guests settle in and sets the tone for cosiness that permeates the entire experience.

Additionally, upon request, the smallest restaurant may set up a private vehicle to pick up patrons and end the evening with a spectacular fireworks show. (As per Architectural Digest)
