Located in New Delhi, India, Indian Accent has established itself as a culinary destination that combines traditional Indian flavours with modern techniques and presentations. And now, the two dynamic chefs from Indian Accent, Chef Manish Mehrotra and Chef Shantanu Mehrotra will be having their gastronomic residency in the Singapore-based private club, The Mandala Club. Apart from this, Indian Accent has set its sights on opening a permanent outpost in Singapore.
The Restaurant Now Eyes Singapore For A Permanent Spot
While Indian Accent’s flagship restaurant is in New Delhi, its popularity has led to the opening of additional branches in other cities, including London and New York City. These expansions have allowed a wider audience to experience the restaurant’s exceptional modern Indian cuisine and have further solidified its reputation as a global culinary destination.
While the residency is still in progress, the restaurant has already set its sights on establishing a permanent presence in Singapore. Speaking to Time Out publication, both the chefs say that a warm welcome was received in Singapore and share about the exquisite intricacies by showcasing the harmonies and subtleties of flavours found in Indian cuisine.
In Mandala Club residency, patrons can choose a four-course, seven-course, or nine-course meal for lunch or dinner. It will include appetisers like Kanyakumari Crab with Sago Pongal and Caviar, as well as sweets like Doda Barfi Treacle Pie with Caramelised Milk Ice Cream. The residency in Singapore, which was on till the 25th of May, has now been extended till the 3rd of June with some special collaborations onboard.

A Mumbai Indian Accent Is Also Underway
Indian Accent is also gearing up for another one in Mumbai that is all set to open as well. The Delhi-based restaurant is run by EHV, part of Old World Hospitality company, which has signed an agreement with Reliance Industries Limited to bring the brand to Jio World Centre in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex.
The first Indian Accent, which debuted in New Delhi in 2009, was regarded well ahead of its time. Chef Mehrotra’s Tasting Menu now includes signature dishes such as Indian Accent Kulfi Sorbet served in a miniature pressure cooker, Sindhi Dal Pakwan, and Daulat ki Chaat served on a bed of fake currency, which have not only helped change the perception of Indian food beyond greasy and rich gravies but have also brought the country accolades.
Indian Accent, New Delhi has been rated as the best restaurant in India by Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants for seven consecutive years (from 2015 to 2021). This year, it secured 19th place on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurant list.
