Chef Sanjeev Kapoor Gives 1200 Free Meals To Victims Of Assam Floods

The northeastern state of Assam is facing one of the most harrowing flood situations now with cities like Silchar shockingly submerged under water. Trees are getting uprooted, parked cars are getting completely sunk, and water is rushing into the houses of people with levels almost covering up the first floor. People in Assam are bereft of their normal livelihood now and they are struggling for survival. Around 139 people have already lost their lives owing to the floods. Amid the trying times, celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor is doing his bit to bring some relief to the flood-hit victims. He has given 1200 free meals to the victims of the Assam floods.

Sanjeev Kapoor Distributes Meals To Victims Of Assam Floods

Sanjeev Kapoor has collaborated with Taj Hotels and the non-profit organisation World Kitchen Centre to distribute the free meals to the people in Assam. The meals have been distributed in sealed meal trays, along with juices and water bottles. Taking to his Instagram handle, the chef has notified about the distribution of the meals. He said the menu of the day consisted of Khichdi, Begun Bhaja, Mixed Sabji, Vanilla Cake and juice. He has shared a picture where we can see meal trays lined up on the table to be distributed to the affected victims.
