Saransh Goila Makes Malai Kofta For Guneet Monga

“Sometimes even the wrong train takes us to the right station…”

This line, along with many others, made us fall in love with the movie ‘The Lunchbox.’ But it was the Malai Kofta recipe being cooked by Nimrat Kaur’s character Ila that won over Chef Saransh Goila’s heart! By his own admission, the chef fell in love with the dish as he watched Nimrat’s character make it on screen. So, he decided to recreate it and shared its recipe on his Instagram as well.

After cooking the Malai Kofta, Chef Saransh packed it in a dabba and took it for the film’s producer and his friend, Guneet Monga. She was pleasantly surprised to see him and quite happy to receive the lunch with super soft koftas. The chef even added a sweet handwritten note in the lunchbox! It had a simple message, “Proud of you Guneet. Love, Go-ila” and it clearly made Guneet Monga happy as she couldn’t help but smile after seeing it.
