You’ve probably seen those fun videos on Instagram where a man named Feroze Khan Zadran walks up to people on the streets and asks them, “What do you do for a living?” He’s had random, delightful encounters with people from all walks of life, even celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Andy Cohen, and Adam Sandler. But this time, something very special happened. In a recent video that went viral on Saturday morning, Feroze bumped into none other than Chef Vikas Khanna, one of India’s most loved and respected chefs.
Feroze Khan Zadran’s Heartwarming Encounter With Chef Vikas Khanna
Feroze stopped Vikas Khanna on the street and told him he loved his outfit. Then, as always, he asked the classic question: “What do you do for a living?” Vikas smiled and answered humbly, “I’m a chef in New York. I have a restaurant called Bungalow.” But Feroze wasn’t done and went on to ask more questions.
When asked what he loves most about his job, Vikas admitted that being a chef is exhausting. However, he loves it because cooking helps bring people closer to home. He added that cooking is one of the most sacred professions, because when you cook well, you’re not just feeding people, you’re healing them.
Then came the big question: What is your go-to dish that you absolutely love? Chef Vikas Khanna smiled and said that his favourite dish is a traditional recipe from Udupi in Karnataka, South India. It’s called pineapple roasted coconut curry, a vegan, no-onion, no-garlic dish that is both simple and sacred. He explained that this dish is very special because it suits many people—Jains, vegans, and vegetarians.
A Wave Of Love And Respect From Fans
Next, Feroze also asked him what his native language is, and Vikas said he speaks both Punjabi and Hindi. Then came a question that touched hearts: What’s one piece of advice you’d give the world, in Hindi? Vikas replied with two simple words: Sabar (patience) and Shukar (gratitude).
He explained how important these two values are in life. He connected it with his favourite movie, The Shawshank Redemption, saying that just like the character in the film had to go through a dark tunnel to find freedom, we all have to be patient and grateful as we chase our dreams.
As soon as the video was posted, fans flooded the comment section. People called Chef Vikas Khanna humble, sweet, and inspiring. Some pointed out that even though Feroze has met many celebrities, no one has been as graceful and kind as Vikas. Others proudly reminded everyone in the comments that Chef Vikas Khanna is an eight-time Michelin-starred chef and truly the pride of India.
For fans of Vikas Khanna, this video was a weekend gift!
