Andrew Kaplan, a podcaster who hosts ‘Beyond The Plate,’ recently had an enlightening conversation about food and its power that is not talked about as often. Kaplan’s caption was indicative of how impactful the conversation had been.
He wrote that he was still struggling to find words to describe the impact of the conversation he had with Chef Vikas Khanna. He also went on to highlight how, during the pandemic, Chef Vikas Khanna fed as many as 80 million people. This was at a time when many were struggling to find food.
He highlighted how this demonstrated his passion for food and his resilience. They also talked about all the challenges that he faced in his journey and how he scaled the heights of success while still having his feet planted firmly on the ground.
Everyone Needs Food To Survive And Hence It’s An Equaliser
In the short clip, Chef Vikas spoke about how he witnessed the power of food firsthand. He mentioned that whether you’re a billionaire or a poor person, everyone needs food. Hence, he sees it as the great equaliser of society.
Nobody can live without it. He also mentioned that this philosophy has been a cornerstone of his belief system. This equalising factor of food has been the source of his passion.
