Chennai Airport Gets A Swish New Lounge At T2; Can Hold 450 Passengers At A Time

If you’re someone who frequently travels in business from or to the Chennai International Airport, we bring good news for you! The airport has a plush new lounge. The new lounge will be filled with state-of-the-art amenities and will ensure that the passengers have a comfortable stay. It will be free for people travelling in Business Class but people travelling in other categories may also stay here by paying.

Chennai Airport Gets A New Lounge At T2

Chennai Airport recently inaugurated an incredibly comfortable and swish new lounge for its travellers. It is called Travel Club Lounge and was inaugurated on the 11th of August, Friday. The honours were done by CV Deepak who is the director of the airport.

At a time, the lounge can hold as many as 450 passengers. People who are travelling via business class can avail of the services of the lounge for free whereas passengers from other categories will have to pay if they are in need of the lounge services.

The lounge will also offer a plethora of culinary options from a diverse range of cuisines. It will serve Indian and Chinese as well as Western cuisines.

Separate Sections For Business Class & 1st Class

The lounge will also have a separate section for passengers travelling in business and passengers travelling in first class. The X (formerly, Twitter) account of the Airport Authority of India or AAI recently posted images of the lounge.

The post also stated that the new Travel Club lounge was located in the New Integrated Terminal Building or the NITB. The lounge, in addition to having an entertainment area, also has a library zone and a wellness centre.

The NITB is stretched across 2,20,972 square metres. It has beautiful architecture and is said to cater to the increasing number of air traffic that Tamil Nadu has experienced in these past couple of years. The new lounge is sure to provide a comfortable stay for all.
