Screenshots of the chat showed that the business was providing free housing along with a monthly salary for operations and merchandiser responsibilities starting at 5,000 yuan (about US $700). However, it also said that employment seekers must abstain from alcohol, meat, and smoking.
The puzzled applicant inquired about these strange restrictions during an online interview. They were asked things like if they smoke, consume alcohol, or eat meat. The interviewer went on to say that the requirements were related to the corporate culture of the organisation rather than being motivated by prejudice against particular candidates.
