Zarqash is a North Indian restaurant mentored by Michelin-starred chef Rohit Ghai at The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore. Known for its Indian flavours and lip-smacking dishes, the place attracts many food lovers. The newest diner at their table was none other than cricketer Chris Gayle, who enjoyed a variety of dishes here and left with not just his stomach but even his heart full. Yes, North Indian food has that magic which truly makes you happy!

The Jamaican cricketer took to his Instagram stories to share his lavish spread at Zarqash. And let us tell you, it was quite a feast. It began with an appetiser, followed by a special welcome drink with saffron strands in it. The restaurant then served him a snack to munch on while more appetisers and the main course dishes started lining up.

The highlight of the meal was when Zarqash served Chris Gayle a vegetarian seekh kebab that looked absolutely delicious. Made with edamame and asparagus, the seekh kebab was served with tomato chutney and berry sauce. Zarqash surely knows how to turn an ordinary vegetarian dish into something fancy and appetising! Chris Gayle was also served a special drink called ‘Mysore Glow’ with it.

The cricketer then showed his followers the main course, which included a crispy-looking chicken breast served with mint chutney. Marinated in Indian spices, this dish brought out the true Indian flavours to the table. Chris Gayle called it “yummy” and even joked that the restaurant was serving him so many delicious appetisers that by the time the main course would arrive, he would already be full.

The next dish looked even better:  Lamb Shami Kebab served with Chur Chur Parantha. The staff at the restaurant specifically told the cricketer to use his “god-gifted cutlery”, meaning his hands, to enjoy this dish. He was also served a mango-based cocktail with it.

Finally, the cricketer moved to his main course, which had lamb, dal, potatoes, and naan; a true North Indian delight! And, of course, there was a steaming biryani in a pot with raita. Chris Gayle surely enjoyed a hearty North Indian spread at Zarqash in Bengaluru. He even thanked Chef Rohit Ghai and called his meal “lovely”.
