Chunky Panday Revealed Sajid Khan Was Originally Going To Play Aakhri Pasta In Housefull

On this fun-filled episode of Sunday Brunch, we sat down with Chunky Panday and his talented wife Bhavana Pandey. Our Editor-in-Chief Kamiya Jani spoke about some of the most iconic roles that Chunky has played and obviously, Aakhri Pasta came up. Interestingly, we learnt a lot, not just about this character but also about his life’s philosophy. We also got a lot of insight about Bhavana Pandey and how she is, at least in part, responsible for transforming Chunky’s life for the better!

Chunky Panday Revealed Sajid Khan Was Going To Play Aakhri Pasta

While chatting about his iconic role Aakhri Pasta, Chunky Panday regaled us with how he ended up bagging this iconic role. He revealed that originally, the plan was that Sajid Khan would play the role of Aakhri Pasta. However, since he was already the director of the movie, he was finding it challenging to juggle both roles.

They were at a party and Sajid Khan was sharing his scruples about both, directing as well as playing the role. It was then that Bhavana Pandey said that he should cast Chunky in the role instead. Sajid, too, realised how perfect that casting would be and he immediately agreed.

So, that is how the iconic role fell to Chunky Panday’s lot! Surely, Bhavana can be Chunky’s agent, if that’s how good she is at getting him roles!

Not Pasta, But He Has THIS Dish Named After Him In Delhi

After munching on some delightful snacks, Kamiya noted that owing to the popularity of the character, there should definitely be a dish named after Aakhri Pasta. To this, Chunky responded by saying that they don’t know about pasta but there is a dish named after him in Delhi.

He revealed that there is a restaurant called Burger Singh. There, one of the best-selling burgers is named “Chunky Paneer Panday!” Bhavana playfully asked whether he gets royalty for the burger and Chunky said that maybe if he asks, they’ll just send him burgers!
