CT Exclusive: We Attended Vishal–Sheykhar’s Delhi Concert To Celebrate 25 Years Of Iconic Music And It Was…

As a ’90s kid and someone who grew up with Bollywood, Vishal and Sheykhar’s recent concert in Delhi was magical, to put it lightly. From groovy hits to soulful romantic melodies, the duo curated a setlist that beautifully captured their incredible two and a half decades journey in the music industry together.

Inside Vishal & Sheykhar’s Electrifying Delhi Concert

One thing I truly enjoyed was how the two let their individuality shine during the concert. While Sheykhar left the crowd spellbound with his soulful voice, Vishal brought electrifying energy, making sure no one stayed still during power-packed performances of songs like ‘Malhari’ and ‘Dhan Te Nan.’

You could truly see the duo’s impact on a generation of music lovers when the crowd sang ‘Khuda Jaane’ in perfect sync, leaving Sheykhar smiling as he stood back without singing a single word into the mic. And don’t even get me started on when he sang ‘Jo Bheji Thi Duaa’. He turned a song that has made millions cry into a jazzy-funk rendition, giving it a fresh twist while keeping its soul intact. The highlight for me, however, has to be when he switched the mic for the piano! Those few minutes of pure music, with no lyrics—just melodies filling the air—left the audience completely spellbound. It was nothing short of magical.

When Vishal returned for his solo set, his stage presence was so electrifying that no one could stand still for more than a few seconds. That’s just how powerful a performer he is! He started with one of his few serious, albeit most beautiful songs–Jee Le Zara–and Delhi did not disappoint! At one point, the man just stood and admired the crowd as they sang in song in flawless synchronisation! He soon turned to his party and more energetic songs, and well, the songs kept flowing from there.

Tributes, Nostalgia, And Non-Stop Vibes

But what truly stood out for me was how Vishal and Sheykhar ensured that the spotlight wasn’t only on them. Every single person on stage—the background singers, the musicians who’ve been with them over the years—was given a moment to shine. It felt like a celebration of not just their music, but the entire team that brought the concert and their music to life.

Watching Vishal and Shekhar live in Delhi was like taking a walk through the last twenty years of music we’ve all grown up with. Every song they performed, be it the high-energy bangers that still dominate playlists, the soulful melodies we return to when we crave nostalgia, or the blockbuster hits that never lose their magic, struck a familiar chord.

What made the night even more special were the heartfelt tributes they paid to legends like RD Burman, whose timeless hits continue to define Indian music, and to KK, whose voice still lives in our hearts. From the moment the duo set foot on stage, the energy in the air was electric; the Delhi crowd sang, danced, and vibed to every lyric and every beat. The atmosphere was infectious, filled with euphoria and emotion, making the concert one of those rare experiences that etches itself into your core memories.

In the end, we can only say, Vishal and Sheykhar, you were beautiful! IYKYK!
