1. Beautiful Restaurants On Wheels

Under the initiative named ‘Beautiful Restaurants On Wheels’, Indian Railways is turning two railway rakes into restaurants on wheels. It will take 90 days to do so, as per officials. Once done, the two restaurants, named Annapurna and Maa Durga, will bring in a combined annual revenue of ₹50 lakhs.

2. Sonamarg-Zojila Road Closed Due To Snowfall

The road connecting Sonamarg and Zojila was closed temporarily. Located in the Ganderbal district of Central Kashmir, Zojila received fresh snowfall today. This resulted in its closing.

3. Saras Aajeevika Kashmir 2.0 Exhibition

Celebrating the vibrant culture and distinctive art of Jammu and Kashmir is SARAS AAJEVIKA Kashmir 2.0. Taking place on the banks of the iconic Dal Lake, this particular event began today. It consists of 46 stalls out of which 30 will be from outside of Jammu and Kashmir. The event was even attended by the LG of Jammu and Kashmir.

4. MeT Predicts Dry Weather In Jammu And Kashmir Till Oct 13

The Meteorological Department in Jammu and Kashmir predicted dry weather in the region of Jammu and Kashmir after spells of rain. As per the prediction, clear skies in the region will last til October 13.

5. Ahead Of President Droupadi Murmu’s Visit, Security Raised

The Honourable President Droupadi Murmu is slated to visit the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir on October 11 for a convocation address. Later she is scheduled to visit a light and sound show at Dal Lake. Security has therefore been strengthened.

6. Government To Renovate Ancient Temples To Boost Border Tourism

Meenakshi Lekhi, the Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture, recently visited various religious places in Jammu and Kashmir. Speaking to the reporters, she stated that the government has launched many welfare schemes and the focus is to improve and promote border tourism. On her visit to the Bamuchak Temple, she assured that steps would be taken to renovate it.
