As does the ramen, the star of the meal,  crispy Chicken Karaage and the pillowy-soft Japanese Cheesecake.

If there’s one spot in Bengaluru that has pushed the envelope this year, it has got to be Muro. The premier cocktail bar known for its Thai and Cantonese cuisines, off-menu “Secret Cocktail” experience, and Asian-style breakfast, available over the weekend, has proved that you need to walk the talk when it comes to innovation. Revolutionising the concept of a social club, Muro’s Pandan Toast, Crab Omelette, Turnip Cakes, coffee and cocktails, impressed us this year.

Tapping into South Bengaluru’s voluminous and multitudinous vegetarian dining scene, Phurr has proven to be one of the most popular restaurants for vegetarians this year. With serpentine queues, reservations that get booked out in minutes, this fine dining space shows that when vegetarian food is given a playful and innovative touch, it can break through the clutter of the city’s jaded food scene.

With a telos to redefine vegetarian food, Neemsi’s signatures like Corn Bhutta Chowder, a take on the sweet corn soup, Crackling Spinach Cottage Cheese and Wild Mushroom Risotto have found plenty of fans. Their Mysore Pak Cheesecake, Phirni Creme Brulee and range of housemade mocktails have left diners coming back for more.

On our round-up of the most talked-about Bengaluru restaurants in 2024, I had to add a spot I’ve personally been raving about the most this year— The Palms Brew & Kitchen. A Bohemian-themed resto-bar in JP Nagar flaunting a langoor-ous setting and an impressive parking space (Yes, it’s a necessity for us Bengalureans) has impeccable cocktails, warm hospitality and bar bites that will introduce you to regional Indian cuisines. My favourites? The gin-based High Tea, sangrias, Mushrooms on Irani Khari, Paneer Pepper Fry and Chilli Prawns!
