Dubai Opens Smart Qurbani Bookings As Eid Al Adha Rush Begins

People in Dubai have already started preparing for Eid Al Adha, and this year, many residents can sort out their Qurbani bookings without even visiting a market first. Dubai Municipality has opened bookings through approved digital platforms and authorised slaughterhouses across the city. The system allows residents to reserve sacrifices in advance instead of waiting for the last-minute Eid crowds, which honestly tend to get hectic every year.

Livestock Arrivals Pick Up Before Eid

Meanwhile, activity has increased at the Al Qusais cattle market as traders prepare for the busy holiday period. Officials said sheep packages start from AED 350. Cattle packages currently range between AED 2,000 and AED 2,800, depending on the option people choose.

On May 9, trucks carrying livestock continued arriving from countries including Somalia, India and Pakistan. Some animals also came from farms within the UAE. Workers spent the day unloading sheep and goats, guiding them into holding areas and organising incoming stock.

The market already feels busier than usual. Not packed yet, but getting there. Traders said some shipments reached later than expected because of tensions in the region. But most sellers still believe supply levels should remain stable before Eid begins.

How Much Are Qurbani Animals Costing In Dubai?

Prices vary a lot depending on the breed, size and where the animal comes from.

At the moment, sheep in the market cost anywhere between AED 1,000 and AED 2,500. Some residents have already started walking through the livestock sections to compare prices before making decisions.

For many families, buying early helps avoid the final rush. Others still prefer waiting closer to Eid because they want more options or hope prices may shift slightly.

Also, not everyone wants to physically choose an animal anymore. The online booking system has become more popular over the last few years, especially among residents who prefer convenience over spending hours at crowded markets.

Will Dubai See Enough Supply Before Eid Al Adha?

So far, traders think yes.

More shipments are expected over the coming days as Eid approaches, and sellers say they are preparing for the busiest period right before the holiday starts. Historically, those final few days usually bring the heaviest footfall.

Still, the mood at Al Qusais market seems fairly steady for now. Workers continue moving livestock in and out while buyers slowly begin their Eid preparations.

Smart Qurbani Services Gain Popularity In Dubai

Dubai’s move towards smart Qurbani bookings reflects how Eid preparations have changed over time. Many residents now handle bookings online while authorised abattoirs manage the process directly, cutting down long queues and market visits.
