It was recently revealed by the Dubai RTA that it will be starting five new bus routes. Yes, starting from August 29th, the new routes are in response to the growing demand for public transport. As a result, to ensure that people find it easier to travel through the public transport in Dubai and to make it more seamless, this move was taken. Moreover, it also mentioned how there are plans to re-route nine other bus routes. Here’s all you need to know about this development.
New Bus Routes By Dubai RTA
Come August 29th, and you will be able to use the new bus routes that are being launched by the Dubai RTA. In response to the growing demand for public transport, this decision was taken, and here’s a list of the new routes that are being launched

Route 31 – Dubai Outsource City To Dubai Silicon Oasis
This new route will ply from Dubai Silicon Oasis to Dubai Outsource City. It will connect the two areas, and there will be a 20-minute interval during peak hours.

Routes 62A And 62B
The two routes are coming up by splitting the erstwhile Route 62. Route 62A will run from Al Qusais Industrial Area to Al Qusais Metro Station, while 62B will run between Al Qusais Metro Station and Ras Al Khor – Samari Residences. During peak hours, the frequency will be 30 minutes.

Route F26A, Onpassive Bus Station To Al Quoz Industrial Area 4
This is a new route that will connect commuters within the Al Quoz Industrial Area. The buses will have a frequency of 30 minutes during peak hours.

Route X91, Al Ghubaiba Bus Station To Jebel Ali Bus Station
Serving as an express route, this will be from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station and Jebel Ali Bus Station. Although it’s similar to the existing Route 91, it will, however, not have a stop at Business Bay Metro Station. So, the passengers from this station will have to use the modified Route 91, which will ply every 30 minutes.

Changes Also Made To Existing Routes

Not just a new route, there are several others that are being rerouted. Yes, nine routes that are being adjusted are as follows:
- Route 7
This will become a two-directional service from the circular service. And it will run between Al Quoz Bus Station and Al Satwa Bus Station. - Route 91
As mentioned previously, this has been modified, and the route between Al Ghubaiba Bus Station and Business Bay Metro Station (northbound) has been shortened. - Route F62
Now being converted to a two-directional route, this will operate between the Emirates Metro Station and Nad Al Hamar. - Route 77
To be converted into a two-directional route from circular, this will ply between Baniyas Square Metro Station and Al Garhoud. - Route X25
The route will also be shortened. Yes, it operates between Al Karama Bus Station and Dubai Silicon Oasis. - Route 50
It will continue to run between the International City Bus Station and Business Bay Bus Station. But now it will no longer pass through Dubai Outsource City. - Route 21A
Running between Al Quoz Bus Station and Al Ghubaiba Bus Station, this route will be shortened - Route 21B
Operating between Al Ghubaiba Bus Station and Al Quoz Bus Station, this route will also be shortened. - Route J01
This route will be rerouted within Jumeirah Village Circle.
