1. Oman: Partial Road Closure Near Al Ansab Bridge

Muscat Municipality and the Royal Oman Police are partially closing a section of the road towards Muscat near Al Ansab Bridge for five days. The closure begins at 9am on Sunday, 4 October. It supports road-connection works under the Al Ansab–Al Jifnain dualisation project. The affected section is marked on the municipality’s traffic plan, and drivers are urged to follow road signs and take care around workers.

2. Qatar Airways: Weekend Sale On Flights From Japan To…

Qatar Airways is running a weekend-only sale Oct 2-5, with up to 15 percent off flights departing Japan. Travel is valid from 2 October to 31 March 2027. Eligible destinations include cities in Europe such as Athens and Paris.

3. Dubai To Host EV World 2026

Dubai will host its first international electric vehicle exhibition and conference, EV World 2026, from 10 to 12 November at Dubai World Trade Centre. The event, organised by the Roads and Transport Authority, is expected to bring together more than 300 companies, authorities and organisations. RTA Director General Mattar Al Tayer said preparations include cooperation with China EV100, to increase participation by Chinese companies and institutions.

4. UAE: Asteroid Probe Reaches Flight Readiness

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed announced that the UAE-built probe for the Emirates Mission to the Asteroid Belt has reached flight readiness in less than two years. The mission will travel about 5 billion kilometres to explore seven asteroids, ending at 269 Justitia, where the probe is designed to separate and descend to the surface. More than 150 engineers and scientists are working on it. Launch is targeted for March 2028.

5. Saudi Arabia: Mdlbeast Returns To Onyx Arena

MDLBEAST Presents is back at Jeddah’s Onyx Arena on 29 and 30 October, with 11 artists across house, techno and melodic sounds. Night one features BLOND:ISH, Boris Brejcha, Jimi Jules, Baloo and Vinyl Mode. Night two brings Argy, Dennis Cruz, Loco Dice, Steve Angello, Blacky and HiFi. It is a 16+ event, and entry requires the NOFOMO app. The shows also warm up for Soundstorm in Riyadh on 3 and 4 December.
