Here’s a look at the latest weather updates from across the country.

Current Weather Updates In India

Apart from causing flash floods in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, the monsoon is proving relentless in other parts of India too. On Wednesday night, Bengaluru was drenched by heavy rainfall, which caused widespread waterlogging on roads and led to severe congestion on Thursday morning.

According to a report by The Times of India, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of more rainfall in the coming days. The Bengaluru Traffic Police have issued multiple advisories warning commuters of slow-moving traffic on several key routes.

North India has also been struck by heavy downpours. Frequent landslides and cloudbursts have caused widespread destruction. A recent cloudburst in Uttarkashi left five people dead and over 50 missing. According to a report by India TV, the IMD has now issued an alert for heavy to very heavy rains in several parts of Uttarakhand. Though Delhi has remained largely dry, the weather department has forecast thunderstorms and rainfall for the city in the coming days.
