Photos From Inside Shree Jagannath Temple Go Viral

A photo from inside the Puri Shree Jagannath Temple was recently shared on social media and quickly went viral. According to Odisha Bytes, the image showed the sanctum sanctorum, where Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra are seated on the Ratna Singhasan. The photo appeared to have been taken from close range, which raised serious concerns about how a mobile phone or camera entered the temple despite strict security checks and clear rules.

Soon after the image spread online, Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan reacted strongly to the incident. According to him, the state government has taken a serious view of repeated violations of temple rules. In talks with Odisha Bytes, he said, “The government has to consider tougher legal provisions as some people continue to defy rules and violate the ban on carrying mobile phones, cameras and electronic devices inside the temple.”
