1. Hajj 2027 Planning Begins With 75 Countries

Saudi Arabia recently announced that it has begun preparations for Hajj 2027. Yes, it will be holding meetings with 75 countries as part of efforts for early readiness. Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that this meeting focuses on preparation for the pilgrimage.

2. Dubai Gets Ready To Welcome Return Travellers

Dubai has stepped up operational readiness across its airports, so that it can handle the influx of citizens, residents and visitors, who are expected to return from their vacation. In fact, additional staff and smart-gate capacity have been deployed so that it can increase the speed of procedures.

3. World Mixed Martial Arts Championship For Youth Dates Announced

Recently, the World Mixed Martial Arts Championship for Youth dates have been announced from August 17th to 23rd, 2026. This is under the patronage of Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed. It should be noted that the championship has been organised by the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation.

4. Dubai RTA Launches E-Bike Delivery Service In 11 Locations

Dubai RTA recently announced that it has launched an e-bike delivery service for short distances at 11 authorised locations across Dubai. This initiative contributes towards promoting flexible mobility. Additionally, this would reduce the reliance on delivery vehicles for short trips. Moreover, it would enhance connectivity in the first and last mile.

5. Saudi Arabia Tightens Travel Documents

The General Authority of Civil Aviation in Saudi Arabia has directed all airlines at the Kingdom’s airports to ensure that passengers have documents needed to enter KSA. Yes, commercial and private airlines have been asked to verify the latest entry, exit, and transit requirements for passengers.
