Dubai Police recently rescued two tourists who had become stranded as they hiked the rugged terrains of Hatta. While they suffered from severe exhaustion and fatigue, the authorities were successfully able to rescue them. Here’s what happened during the incident.

Dubai Police on X released a video showing how it successfully rescued two tourists who had gotten stranded as they hiked the rugged terrain of Hatta. This incident occurred last Tuesday at about 11:30 AM. Two women had contacted the Command-and-Control Centre at Dubai Police. Requesting urgent assistance, they mentioned how they were unable to continue their hike.
Teams Were Able To Timely Locate The Tourists
So the operation, which involves specialised teams, was deployed to this location. This comprised reconnaissance and rescue units along with police patrol and paramedics who are from the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Service. With the help of a drone, the teams were able to locate the stranded tourists, and then the rescue personnel reached the site. They evacuated the woman with the help of specialised mountain rescue equipment. They were transported to designated medical points where they received the necessary care.

Public Must Contact Emergency Number In Case Of Emergency
The full readiness to respond to emergencies across mountain areas, valleys and other challenging terrains, patrol units have been equipped with specially designed vehicles. These vehicles are capable of navigating through the rough terrain and use an advanced communication system that links to the Command-and-Control Centre. Moreover, brave units also play a vital role in executing rescue missions and securing events. They are supported by several specialised pieces of equipment, which include modified mountain vehicles, LED lighting systems, heavy rescue tools, thermal drums for night operations, live transmission technology, and heavy rescue tools.
So, the public has been asked to immediately contact the emergency number 999 or use the SOS feature on the Dubai Police smart application, in case, there are any emergencies in the mountains or remote areas. After all, for a timely rescue, one has to immediately call the services to stay safe.
