Curly Tales Explored Hiware Bazaar, A Village With 70 Millionaires
Many people have the perception that farming and agriculture are not as lucrative as tertiary jobs in the city. If you, too, harbour such misconceptions, allow us to take you through Hiware Bazaar. It’s a rural village in Maharashtra’s Ahmednagar district that houses not one or two but 70 millionaires!
They acquired this wealth primarily from two sources – dairy farming and agriculture. You would be surprised to know that its prosperity is only recent. Once plagued with drought and destitution, the village has now turned into a hamlet of prosperity all because of their smart water management and innovative farming techniques.
The collective effort of the entire farm along with a little help of the government managed to turn the barren land of this place into one of the most lucrative villages in India. The model of farming that this village uses is replicable and can be used in several villages across the country!
