Revealing positive results regarding the emirate, there has been an increase in the number of tourists visiting the capital. From Louvre Abu Dhabi to the Abrahminic Family House, visitors have shown a high satisfaction rate at these cultural sites. Here’s all you need to know about the tourism-related report of Abu Dhabi.
Department Of Culture & Tourism – Abu Dhabi Reveal Tourism Report
Recently, it was announced by the Department of Culture & Tourism – Abu Dhabi that the emirate welcomed a total of 18 million visitors in 2022. Yes, in a report by Khaleej Times, it was revealed that visitors to the cultural sites exceeded targets with 13 million people and even ended up recording a satisfaction rate of a whopping 99%. As it happens, it was also outlined that over 70% hotel capacity was recorded, as overnight visitors reached 4.1 million. This is brilliant as there has been an increase of 24% as compared to the previous year.

18 Million Visitors Welcomed In The Emirate In 2022
The figures also mentioned that around 78% of destination awareness has been achieved in 12 strategic markets. With the introduction of new sustainable tourism guidelines, Abu Dhabi continues to grow innovatively. Did you know as many as 80 galleries from 28 countries featured at the Abu Dhabi Art Fair in 2022? Yes, that’s not all, as the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre ended up registering 2,60,000 visitors from across the Al Ain Book Festival, Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, and Al Dhafra Book Festival.
This comes after recently, it was also revealed that Louvre Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Hosn and Cultural Foundation are Abu Dhabi’s most popular sites according to the same report. Not to mention, with so many cultural events taking place in the city in the previous year, this just added to its database.
