Shondaland never fails to take us on wild rides through eras and emotions alike. Especially with the Bridgerton series, every episode had us swooning over distinct characters, over-the-top hairdos, and a dialect full of elegance. A spin-off series, Queen Charlotte – A Bridgerton Story, shedding light on the complex life and love story of the magnificent Queen Charlotte and her sweet King George, had us feeling a rush of emotions with every episode. We can certainly go on and on about everything about that show that touched us; however, today is not the day for it. Today, we have great news for fellow fans of this Regency era. In collaboration with Netflix and Shondaland, The Lanesborough has organised a limited-period Queen Charlotte-themed afternoon tea. Read on for more information!

You Are Invited To A Queen Charlotte-Themed Afternoon Tea

This limited-edition tea, which is currently available, pays homage to the Regency era, a period characterised by opulent parties, balls, and formal dinners, as well as a great deal of revelry and high style. The Queen Charlotte Afternoon Tea is held in the lavishly decorated dining room of The Lanesborough, which glows seductively at night under softly lit chandeliers and is naturally lit during the day by a domed glass roof. The menu, created by Salvatore Mungiovino, head pastry chef at The Lanesborough, pays homage to the important figures in Queen Charlotte.

From assorted finger sandwiches to Montgomery, cheddar scones with cheese custard, this tea will serve you some delightful flavours. The menu also has delicious scones from The Lanesborough, served with cream and jam, which go perfectly with the savoury flavours.

The dedicated concept of cakes for every main character of the show is certainly the star of the show.

This afternoon tea will be spiked with the Queen Charlotte Cocktail, inspired by the original Regency Gin Punch. It will be finished with champagne for the royal seal of approval. A non-alcoholic naughty sparkling rosé will also be served.

This menu has us on the edge of our seats, just like the episodes!
