Delhites are shivering in extreme cold this winter season. The temperature has decreased extensively in the last few weeks and the weather is still very chilling. To make the situation worse, dense fog is surrounding all around every day. Blankets of fog are continuously disrupting the regular smooth operations of flights and trains. Recently, the Delhi airport has issued a travel advisory related to all such incidents.
Delhi Airport Issued A Travel Advisory For Passengers Travelling On Flights
Taking to the X (formerly Twitter) platform, Delhi Airport (@DelhiAirport) shared the advisory during midnight.

The national capital was covered in sheets of dense fog in the early hours causing inconveniences for flight and train operations. Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi issued a passenger advisory for all the flyers who are ready to catch a flight or depart the journey at this airport. According to the recently issued travel advisory, arrival and departure are continuing at the Delhi Airport as usual. But flights that are not CAT III compliant might face inconveniences.
“While landings and takeoffs are continuing at the Delhi Airport, flights that are not CAT III compliant may get impacted. Passengers are requested to contact the airline concerned for updated flight details and information. The inconveniences caused are deeply regretted”, issued the airport.
IndiGo (@IndiGo6E) shared an advisory as well.

The airline stated that flight operations in Delhi, Chandigarh, and Srinagar are likely to be impacted because of the forecasted poor weather conditions. IndiGo requested passengers to be updated and check the flight status before leaving their homes to travel to the airport.
Many Flights Have Been Delayed
The problem of changes in flight schedules has been ongoing for the past few weeks due to low visibility and foggy surroundings. 11 flights got cancelled and 51 got delayed at the Delhi Airport for the weather conditions, according to a report by Flightradar24.
Along with the flight services, the prevailing poor weather is impacting regular train operations as well.
