Parts of Delhi-NCR hit by heavy rain and hailstorm on Thursday evening. 

What Is It?

Delhi might not be an hill station but lately it is definitely acting like one. Several parts of Delhi-NCR witnessed heavy rain and hailstorms on Thursday evening. The weather office reported the maximum temperature to be around 25.1 degrees Celsius and the minimum at 12 degrees Celsius.

Light showers and hailstorm was witnessed by Adjoining areas of Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Meerut, Khatauli, Modinagar, Shamli, Baraut, Faridabad, Noida, Ballabhgarh, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Sambhal, Muradabad, Amroha and Narora.

On Wednesday the national capital woke up to light rain followed by a sunny evening however in the past 24 hours, the city witnessed about 1 mm of rain. The light storm and hailstorm disrupted the traffic at few places and many flights were diverted. In total twenty-three domestic and nine international flights were diverted out of Delhi.
