Cricketer turned East Delhi MP Gautam Gambhir has launched the second Jan Rasoi in the New Ashok Nagar area of East Delhi.  The first Jan Rasoi was opened up in the Gandhi Nagar market of East Delhi. Jan Rasoi is a private canteen that provides food to the needy at ₹1. The New Ashok Nagar canteen will serve lunch to 50 persons at a time. Read on to know more.

Second Jan Rasoi Launched In East Delhi

East Delhi now has two outlets of Jan Rasoi. Goutam Gambhir had launched the first Jan Rasoi at Gandhi Nagar market of East Delhi. Now, the second Jan Rasoi has come up at New Ashok Nagar area. Jan Rasoi serves food the needy at ₹1. Gautam Gambhir said in a statement,”I have always felt that everybody has the right to healthy and hygienic food irrespective of caste, creed, religion or financial condition. It is saddening to see the homeless and needy not being able to get even two square meals a day.”

Jan Rasoi Canteen To Open In All Ten East Delhi Constituencies

Gautam Gambhir plans to open at least one Jan Rasoi canteen in each of the ten assembly constituencies in East Delhi. Gautam Gambhir Foundation Is Funding The Project

The lunch will include rice, lentils and vegetable curries. Gautam Gambhir Foundation is funding the project without any government support. So far, there has no such canteen in the national capital that provides food to the needy has such low prices.
