Delhi police have recently issued a traffic advisory. Owing to the deployment of checking and pickets at different borders of Delhi, the police have stated that the traffic in and out of the city is going to be severely impacted. Keeping the same in mind, the police of the National Capital has issued an advisory which informs the citizens of the areas which will be the most affected. Here are all of the important details that you would need to know about the traffic advisory.
Delhi Traffic Advisory: Check Alternative Routes
According to an article which was recently published by Times Now, traffic disruptions in areas on Delhi borders should be expected. More specifically, the Aaya Nagar Border, Badarpur, DND Flyway, Kalindi Kunj, Karni Singh Shooting Range, the Mandi Border, Palla and Surajkund areas will be severely impacted.
Heavy traffic is expected on routes to and from Haryana. Travellers and motorists are urged to plan their travels extremely carefully so as to avoid inconvenience. Vehicles will only be permitted through the borders after thorough checking by the police.
Traffic will be rerouted through Lampur, Saboli, Safiyabad, Singhu School Toll, Piao Maniyari and Zero Palla. Motorists are also urged to stay patient during the congestion and to adhere to the traffic regulations put in place for the time being.
Other Areas That Might Be Affected Owing To The Deployment
The National Highway-44 has been fully shut for traffic. However, roads like Sonipat and Panipat which are connected and lead to NH-44 will be open to the general public. It should be noted that these roads also witness severe traffic congestion.
Two lanes of NH-9 and NH-24 in addition to two lanes of DND will be open at Gazipur Border. Commuters from and around the Singhu Border are urged to use the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
