Hidden beneath the familiar buzz of GK-2’s M Block Market is a dining space that feels deliberately removed from the world above. Tucked downstairs, The Dark Side introduces Delhi to an underground restaurant concept where dim lighting, intimate surroundings and a touch of mischief set the tone for the evening. Scroll down to know more about it.

Delhi Gets Its First-Ever Underground Restaurant

The concept takes inspiration from the Seven Deadly Sins, turning them into the central thread running through the food, drinks and overall experience. Rather than taking the idea too seriously, The Dark Side plays with temptation and indulgence, creating a space where guests can simply order what they want and enjoy it without overthinking it.

The food is equally personal. Chef Aditya’s menu draws from his memories of London, particularly the meals he and fellow chefs would turn to after long shifts. These were dishes that offered comfort after a demanding night in the kitchen: rich, familiar and satisfying.

That influence appears across the menu, with dishes such as Chef Adi’s Tiramisu, BBQ Chicken Wings, Mac n Cheese with Chorizo, the Anthony Bourdain Sandwich and Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Rather than trying to reinvent comfort food, the menu leans into the dishes people genuinely crave.

The Dark Side Opens With Signature Food & Cocktails

The drinks continue the Seven Deadly Sins theme, with seven signature cocktails inspired by familiar flavours and given unexpected twists. The cocktails are designed to be approachable while still fitting into the playful personality of the space.

The Dark Side also takes a different approach from its sister venue, Refuge. While Refuge focuses more heavily on precision, technique and spirit-forward cocktails, The Dark Side is intentionally more relaxed. Here, the emphasis is on indulgent food, easy-going drinks and an atmosphere that encourages guests to stay a little longer.

And perhaps that’s the appeal. There is no complicated ritual involved. Find the entrance, head downstairs, choose your sin and settle in. Between the comfort food, cocktails and dark surroundings, dinner can quickly turn into a much longer night.
