Delhi Airport took to its official X account to share the good news with travellers. The facility, called “Express@DEL”, was launched at T1-Gate 5, T2-Gate 1 and T3-Gate 2. The facility is for passengers travelling with only hand baggage or no baggage. It will allow them to skip the regular queues and check-in counters.
They can go straight to the designated entry gate and then head directly to security. This means a light traveller won’t have to wait in the regular entry queue with people who need to check in their bags, saving a lot of time. Plus, the dedicated gates are also perfect for business travellers or weekend flyers.

How To Use Express@DEL Service?
Now, let’s talk about how to use the new Express@DEL service at Delhi Airport. According to Hindustan Times, you will need to follow these steps:
- Complete your web check-in beforehand and keep your e-boarding pass ready.
- Head straight to the designated forecourt gate for your terminal.
- Skip the standard check-in counter and go directly to security.
According to Business Today, the new facility does not eliminate the need for security screening or immigration. Travellers will still have to complete all the applicable checks before proceeding to the boarding gates. For travellers carrying checked-in luggage, the existing airport entry and check-in or baggage-drop process remains the same. This new initiative by Delhi Airport is aimed at streamlining passenger movement at the airport and reducing congestion at entry points.
