South Delhi To Get 2 New Flyovers
According to reports by NDTV, the Barapullah Phase-III corridor is also set to open to the public. Public Works Minister Parvesh Verma said the two flyover projects, estimated to cost ₹371 crore, will be inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The projects are expected to ease traffic in Govindpuri, Kalkaji, CR Park, Nehru Place and nearby areas. The Delhi government has set a completion timeline of 24 to 30 months. The Modi Mill Flyover will be extended towards Kalkaji to improve traffic movement in South Delhi. At present, vehicles travelling towards Kalkaji, Nehru Place and Okhla often face congestion after descending from the existing flyover.
The project will include a 1.5-km-long, six-lane elevated corridor, with 9-metre-wide carriageways on both sides. It will cover stretches around Captain Gaur Marg, Maa Anandmai Marg, Lotus Temple Road, Masjid Moth Road and the Nehru Place Bus Depot.

New Flyovers To Boost Connectivity & Traffic Congestion
A second flyover will be constructed at the Savitri Cinema junction near Greater Kailash and Chittaranjan Park. A three-lane, 900-metre-long one-way flyover will run parallel to the existing carriageway, with 435 metres of the structure elevated. The flyover will primarily carry traffic travelling from IIT Delhi towards Modi Mill, creating a dual-carriageway corridor and improving movement through the busy junction.
The projects are also expected to improve connectivity for commuters travelling between South Delhi, Faridabad and Noida. Motorists using Maa Anandmai Marg and the Sarai Kale Khan-Ashram stretch to reach the Outer Ring Road are expected to benefit from smoother, signal-free movement. Meanwhile, three new underpasses at Mukarba Chowk will improve connectivity towards Rohini, Badli, Jahangirpuri, Azadpur, Prashant Vihar and Samaypur Badli. They are expected to ease bottlenecks on the Outer Ring Road towards Narela, Bawana, Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar and NH-44.

The PWD will install crash barriers, improved signage and reflective markers during construction. A new drainage system will also be developed to prevent monsoon waterlogging.
