Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has approved projects worth ₹728 crore to boost infrastructure in the Trans-Yamuna part of Delhi. Projects Approved For Trans-Yamuna Region In Delhi
According to a report by Hindustan Times, projects worth ₹728 crore have been approved by the Trans-Yamuna Area Development Board. These projects focus on accelerating and upgrading infrastructure across the Trans-Yamuna area in Delhi. Authorities will also work on roads, drainage systems, and monsoon preparedness. The decision was taken during a recent meeting chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.
Officials were directed to repair damaged roads and address waterlogging hotspots ahead of the upcoming monsoon season. These measures aim to ensure commuter safety and convenience. The projects approved by the Trans-Yamuna Board are also expected to open new avenues for tourism in the region.

Park Upgrades, Public Amenities And Tourism
As per a report by Hindustan Times, the approved projects will be executed by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and other agencies. Along with improving basic facilities, authorities will work on park upgrades and public amenity works. There will also be a strong focus on beautification, with the aim of encouraging more people to choose the Trans-Yamuna area as a place to live.
Reportedly, there are no financial constraints in implementing the board’s recommendations. Reportedly, CM Rekha Gupta stressed that development in the area should balance basic civic needs with overall improvements in the area.
Special emphasis will be placed on tourism-related works to integrate the Trans-Yamuna region into Delhi’s mainstream development. The projects will cover 16 assembly constituencies falling under the Trans-Yamuna area.
