“Aapka Order Toh Chakhna Ban Gaya”: Harsh Rajput Recalls His Zomato Delivery Days In Mumbai

Harsh Rajput recently dropped a story that sounded so unserious that we didn’t believe him at first. While appearing on our Tere Gully Mein episode, he casually revealed that there was a brief phase in his life when he worked as a delivery partner for Zomato in Mumbai. The revelation itself was surprising, but the story that followed was even more unbelievable and hilarious.

Harsh Rajput Reveals He Once Worked As A Zomato Delivery Partner

Harsh Rajput explained that when he first started doing deliveries around Mumbai, the reality of the job hit him quickly. Riding around the city under the blazing sun, constantly moving from one location to another, was far tougher than he had imagined. At one point during the conversation, he summed it up very simply: “Maza nahi aa raha tha (I’m not having fun)”.

So he came up with a solution. It was not a responsible one, but definitely a memorable one.

According to Harsh Rajput, his routine became strangely consistent. Every morning, he would log into the delivery app and accept the very first order that came his way. He would go to the restaurant, collect the food like a regular delivery partner and then head straight to Juhu Beach instead of the customer’s address.

Once he reached the beach, the plan was simple. He would sit there, grab a quarter drink, and the food he had picked up for delivery would officially become his chakhna.

When Delivery Orders Became ‘Chakhna’ At Juhu Beach

Meanwhile, the customer waiting for their order would naturally start calling. Harsh laughed while recalling those moments because he knew exactly what had happened to the food. In his head, he joked, the answer was obvious: “Aapka order toh chakhna ban gaya.”

Some days the order would turn out to be simple street food like chaat, and on other days, it could be pizza. Each morning felt like opening a mystery box, except the box happened to be someone else’s delivery order.

One particular day stood out in his memory. Harsh Rajput said he once picked up what turned out to be a full seafood-style main course thali. It was a proper meal, and not just snacks. The portion was so big that he couldn’t finish it alone, so he ended up sharing the food with people sitting nearby on the beach.

Strangers at Juhu Beach, he joked, probably had no idea their meal was technically someone else’s cancelled delivery.

Another moment he remembered involved an avocado-based dish. Harsh Rajput admitted that it looked quite unusual to him at first, but since it had already become part of his “chakhna,” he decided to try it anyway.

The entire anecdote had the interviewer laughing because of how effortlessly Harsh Rajput narrated it. What started as a casual revelation about working as a delivery partner quickly turned into a story about food, the sea at Juhu Beach, mystery meals, and a delivery order that, more often than not, never reached its destination.
