If you travel with the Delhi Metro daily or frequently, then you must understand how annoying it is to wait in a queue daily to purchase tickets. Valuable time is lost standing in the long line. However, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation or the DMRC has given a solution to this problem. The DMRC are launching the Multiple Journey QR Ticket or MJQRT. Here are all of the important details that you would need to know about this new programme.

DMRC Launches Multiple Journey QR Ticket

According to an article which was recently published by the Hindustan Times or HT, this particular programme will eliminate the hassle of purchasing tickets for every journey. The feature was launched by Vikas Kumar who is the Managing Director of DMRC.

It was launched today at the Metro Bhawan. The new feature is a part of Delhi Metro’s initiative called ‘Easy Of Initiative.’ It is widely touted as the first initiative of its kind. The feature can be availed exclusively on the DMRC’s Delhi Metro Sarathi (Momentum 2.0).

The feature will be available for all from September 14, 2024, as per an article by The Financial Express or FT. The initial amount that the passengers can start with is ₹150. What is more, there is no security deposit required!

Bid Adieu To The Hassle Of Purchasing Tickets Everyday!

Another element of that makes this feature more convenient than ever is that you can use your account from any device. So even if your primary phone gets stolen, you can use your friend’s or your spare phone to use the facility.

Additionally, the users of this app will be able to replenish their funds in multiple amounts of ₹50. They can do so via UPI, credit card, debit card and any other payment method. The minimum amount of money you need in your account is ₹60.
