Just like Friday and Saturday, Delhiites and people living in different parts of North India started their Sunday in a third successive foggy morning. The effects of the cold wave are evident and now intense sheets of fog are becoming a major problem for many. Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi is probably the worst-hit airport during these adverse weather conditions.
Over the last two days, several airlines have delayed flights, diverted their routes, and paused operations as well. Dense fog causing zero visibility delayed nearly 200 airports at this airport and cancelled 10. Flight services have been hit severely. 59 flights slated to land in Delhi faced a delay and 4 arriving flights were cancelled. 138 flights scheduled to take off were delayed. 6 departing flights got cancelled, according to information provided by Flightradar24, a flight tracking website.
