The iconic Diljit Dosanjh and his Canadian-origin Jatt & Juliet co-star, Neeru Bajwa, joined our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani for our latest Sunday Brunch episode. From travel and films to their childhood memories and more, we talked about it all. And after a scrumptious brunch, the conversation shifted towards food and calories. Read on to learn all about it and catch the live video linked below.

Diljit Dosanjh’s Life Was Way Better Before He Heard About Calories

For this epic Sunday Brunch, we had delicious Maharashtrian, Punjabi and South Indian dishes laid out in front of our guests. The amazing food spread had light options like poha and vada pav, as well as pyaaz ke pakode and sabudana vada. We were curious to know about their eating habits and Kamiya asked Diljit if he had always been conscious of eating healthy.

To our surprise, he told us that it was merely four to five years ago when he got to know what calories are! He highlighted that his life was absolute bliss when he had no clue about it. After learning about calories, his food suddenly became quantifiable. Sometimes it is fine to be oblivious to things, isn’t it? Well, we do wish his bubble didn’t burst.

As a true Punjabi, Neeru reached for the delicious chole as soon as the spread was laid out. She talked about how her cheat meals never consist of anything deep-fried or oily because it simply doesn’t excite her. Even the thought of consuming anything oily doesn’t please her. She enjoys eating normal dal, parantha, butter and even pizza, whenever she feels like indulging. The actress shared that she isn’t particularly mad about bhatura or samosa and would rather eat paranthas.

Next, she went into detail about how eating oily food feels. She feels the excess oil slowly trickle down the oesophagus into her stomach. This awful feeling makes it harder for her to love oily food and she always skips it. Foodie followers, have you ever felt something like this?
