Diljit Dosanjh Feels People Shouldn’t Restrict Themselves And Should Be Flexible

There was a time when Diljit Dosanjh was unaware of the economy class on international flights. He happily travelled in first class for his first-ever flight to Canada. Later, he realised it could be done with less money and leg space for the same duration as first-class passengers! On this Sunday Brunch episode, Diljit spoke about not restricting himself to certain situations with our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani.

According To Diljit Dosanjh, People Shouldn’t Restrict Themselves And Be More Flexible

Diljit recalled his first international flight experience and how it was a memorable one. From last-minute flight cancellations to travelling in first class, it had to be an unforgettable experience for him. Back then, he presumed international flights only had first-class arrangements. It was only later that the economy class seats burst the bubble for him!

Upon hearing this, Kamiya pointed out that it becomes less satisfying to travel in economy class after experiencing the luxury of first class. But our guest had a different view! He spoke realistically: “Main aisa nahi kehna chahta. Joh apne hisab de naal, sabr hi karna, koi gal nahi ji.” This loosely translates to saying that the luxurious way of travelling doesn’t excite him, and it takes time, energy and money to afford first class.

Further, Diljit also said that it depends on the gravity of the situation. He doesn’t shy away from travelling in either economy or first class, depending on situations or emergencies. In this manner, he highlighted how one shouldn’t restrict themselves and should be able to adjust to different circumstances.

He also talked about how it took him a while to fly first class again and enjoy the comfort level it offers as compared to economy class. That being said, he never had any trouble flying in economy class. He understood that some things require patience and this was one of them.

Hence, he travelled in economy class until he could afford to fly in first class again without any hesitation. Our guest is flexible and adjusts to circumstances without making hasty decisions. Through this, he wanted people to make rational choices without being restricted.
