Lucky are those who successfully managed to book tickets for Diljit Dosanjh’s much-anticipated Dil-Luminati Tour. From North to South and East to West, the globally acclaimed star is hosting extravagant concerts across India. He has been making headlines for the larger-than-life and memorable shows in different Indian cities. However, Diljit Dosanjh’s Hyderabad concert grabbed the limelight as he replaced alcohol references in his songs.
Diljit Dosanjh Tweaked Alcohol With Coke In His Songs
TEAM DOSANJH (@teamdiljitglobal)’s Instagram handle shared an energetic glimpse of Dosanjh’s Hyderabad show. Shared with the caption “COKE DE AA DATT PATTNE”, the video became the centre of attention for its new lyrics.
If you are unaware of the singer’s decision to replace his songs’ lyrics, here is a brief explanation. The Telangana government asked him to not sing any songs promoting alcohol, drugs, or violence during his Dil-Luminati Tour. Adhering to the state government’s directive, Diljit did not promote these above-mentioned aspects at his show.
Instead of singing the original lyrics, he played with his creativity and sang songs with different lyrics altogether. Instead of uttering words signifying anything related to alcohol, drugs, or violence, he tweaked the lyrics and replaced those words with new inclusions such as “Coke”.
Videos of his newly written songs are going viral on social media platforms. Already mindblown by his charm and energy, fans are truly enjoying the replaced song lyrics. Diljit’s famous Lemonade song has the popular lyrics “Tainu teri daaru’ch pasand hai lemonade.” Instead of singing the original words, he tweaked “Tainu teri coke’ch pasand hai lemonade.”
For 5 Taara song, he tweaked “5 taara theke utte” with “5 taara hotel ch.” Diljit changed lyrics of Patiala Peg as well for the Hyderabad concert. For “Patiala peg laa chadhi da”, he sang “Patiala geda laa chadhi da.”
Coca-Cola Reacts To The Viral Videos
In between the government’s directive and Dosanjh’s new lyrics, Coca-Cola managed to get sudden fame, attention, and publicity. The drinks company responded to the viral glimpses of the show and expressed their thoughts by commenting “Chautha kaam twade gaane japne” under TEAM DOSANJH’s Pehle Lalkare Naal reel.
