Wadi Safar in Saudi Arabia is a sanctuary of refinement and well-being. Built amidst the rich cultural heritage, this destination is truly steeped in history and tradition. Since it is close to one of the treasured UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Kingdom, the unspoilt natural landscape. And recently, two companies were given contracts for developing a few hotels here.
Wadi Safar: SAR8 Bn Contract Awarded For Four Luxe Hotels

Wadi Safar truly attracts special attention from the people for its unmatched beauty. And there are now impressive plans for transforming the beautiful landscape. The Diriyah Company has now awarded a SAR8 billion contract to Al Bawani Co Ltd and Urbacon Saudi Co for building four hotels.
They will also be building the Royal Diriyah Equestrian & Polo Club, which would be a part of the Wadi Safar Masterplan. As it happens, the wider Diriyah megaproject includes 42 hotels. However, this construction contract is for four of the many luxury hotels that will be coming up at Wadi Safar. Here’s a look at the four luxe hotels and sporting facilities that will be built by the construction company.

Contract Awarded For 4 Luxe Hotels
- Aman Wadi Safar, a gorgeous hotel, it would feature 80 rooms and 37 branded residences. Offering an uninterrupted view of the spectacular escarpments and wadis, there would also be a spa and restaurants on the premises.
- The Chedi would feature 85 rooms and 20 branded residences as per the website and would include a unique position that would offer panoramic views over the signature golf course.
- Faena Hotel would feature 130 rooms and 20 branded villas. With direct views of the 27-championship golf course and the wadi, a part of the area would also overlook the Royal Diriyah Equestrian & Polo Club.
- Six Senses would feature 92 guestrooms that would be spread across five clusters. Situated on top of a hill, it would be built in original Najdi-style, palatial architecture and will offer a traditional vibe, coupled with luxury living.
The contract also extends to the Royal Diriyah Equestrian and Polo Club. This would be a testament to the growing status of the area as a premier destination for sports and leisure. It would be able to house 180 horses in the stable and two polo fields. Complete with a pro shop, restaurant, polo lessons, and a VIP Lounge, this would be available for members.

Not only this, the masterplan includes building other hotels like Montage and the WELL hotel and resorts for a bespoke experience for the guests. There would also be a 27-hole signature golf course, as mentioned previously, and this would be designed by Greg Norman. This means it’s going to be nothing short of impressive. With three retail hubs, food & beverage outlets, and retail stores, the three lifestyle hubs would offer all this and more. There are plans for parks and trails that would blur the boundaries between nature and man-made creations, with two parks, 42 km of trails, and two ponds.
So, in conclusion, it’s not wrong to say that the project is truly quite impressive. It would be built as a destination that would draw in people for the escape that it would offer.
